Aunt / Uncle Testing Reviews for Journey Genetic Testing

Due to an estranged relationship, I was unaware that my son’s father passed away shortly after he was born. I recently began to try and reach out to him unsuccessfully but found some family members that informed me of the tragic news of his passing. They were unaware of my child’s existence and naturally desired a DNA test. I ordered the avuncular kit from Journey Genetics which was sent to his sister and myself. I was bit skeptical due to the lowered costs that JG offered versus other sites and the absence of reviews that they have on their actual website (btw I am the queen of reviews). Dnatestingchoice.com was the only place that I found reviews for the company but based on what I read here, I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. The test arrived fairly quickly and the results came back even faster. The test was simple and contained very detailed instructions. I appreciated being able to track my test both ways, it helped to lessen the anxiety of the situation-just a bit. Just one day after having received both kits back at the lab we got the results confirming the relationship between my son and his aunt. I’m glad a chose Journey Genetics to assist us and would highly recommend their affordable and reliable services!

This whole process has been a huge family upheaval but Journey Genetic Testing were calm and reassuring right from the start. They explained what we had to do and happily contacted three sets of family members in three locations. We finally got the results last week and they were as we’d hoped. This whole thing has been a nightmare – I’m not going to go into it here but my Dad ran away when I was 2 and 20 years later I needed to get some certainty around who my Dad ACTUALLY was.
