Ixcela has been such an asset to my practice. I’m an acupuncturist and have found that running labs with Ixcela has provided so much information to help deepen the results with my patients. Along with their labs, they offer consults with their RDs who are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in determining the best actionable steps to take to encourage true healing on a mind and body level.

I signed up with Ixcela because of GI issues I was experiencing when running. I had tried many other programs and alternatives in the past and never really found relief. With Ixcela, I was able to get information and support that really helped me make progress. I had regular check—ins with my dietician, access to helpful resources, and a program that was easy to understand and follow. Overall, I’m pleased with the results.

Rachel has been a great support helping improving my gut health and performance during the practice of long distance triathlon; she was careful and detailed oriented to help identify the root causes of the gut problems i was experiencing; today Im a much more confident athlete/person of my overall health.

I did a Gut Health test. The sample was easy to complete (I tried a similar test with another company and was not able to even complete the sample). The results came in fast, and I got a 1:1 review which was extremely helpful and gave me insights into the results that I did not get when I reviewed the results alone – and led to simple improvements that I have started to take. They also followed up with a detailed and personalized email.

The team at Ixcela has created an amazing platform for gaining valuable insights into an individual’s gut microbiome and giving valuable feedback for health and performance goals. My experience working with them has been extremely positive in helping me achieve both my athletic goals and goals for supporting a healthy pregnancy. Very grateful for their support!

I have been working with Ixcela and specifically Rachel Stuck for the past several months. I think Ixcela is excellent. My bloodwork showed areas that I needed to improve especially my gut health. The metabolites measured are not those in your typical annual bloodwork. Rachel worked with me forming a plan including dietary changes and supplements. We made changes slowly over time. The changes were not overwhelming and made a difference. All of my markers improved significantly after remeasuring at 90 days. It was great to see the objective progress actually impacting my health. Definitely worth the time and effort. Ask for Rachel, as she is quite knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. She held me accountable through the process and was very supportive with weekly email checkups. I never felt pressured and was always supported on my health journey.

After working with Shelby I was able to get my GI distress under control in only a week. In the second and third weeks my energy levels shot through the roof. Even though I’m less than a month into Ixcela, I can’t be more excited to see my continued transformation.

Found out my daughter had a homozygous MTHFR mutation, so we wanted to get my husband tested since we suspected he did too. The results came back quickly (under a week) and clearly showed what we expected. I think it is a much quicker turnaround bc they are not sequencing much of the DNA, but I would definitely recommend this product to anyone curious about their MTHFR status.

I had the amazing ability of getting to work with Kerri. She is an incredible registered dietitian full of so much knowledge that she is able to break down and let the every day person grasp what the plan moving forward is. I can not wait for my next blood test with Ixcela to see how I have improved!

Great in-depth results and information on gut and general health

The process was easy and the results were fascinating. Rachel Stuck, who coached me to understand the results, was amazing!

My experience with Ixcela was phenomenal. During the time I worked with them, my gut health improved tremendously as I wasn’t as bloated and had much less GI distress overall. The accountability factor was huge as well (shoutout to Shelby!). I’m a coach by trade, but having someone else stay in my ear and coach me up felt really good. Also, Ixcela gives you an incredible amount of resources and education along the way so that you’re set up for success post program. I highly recommend anyone to participate in the program as you’ll improve your internal fitness and pick up great habits along the way!

Ixcela was so helpful! I was really struggling with sleep & energy, and then Shelby (nutritionist) and the Ixcela team helped me make some small but powerful changes to my lifestyle & diet that solved those 2 big issues in my life. Can’t recommend this product enough! It works.

Purchased 2 of these kits, swabbed and followed directions only to send them off, took a week to get there (not my fault) and then longer to test it. Both test results came back saying they basically couldn’t tell me anything. So I’m out $140 and still have no results.

What a dumb product. We paid $80 to learn our daughter may have a mutation. When I called company for their free 30 minute consult, all they could say was they can not interpret the results and my daughter should get a blood test. What? I thought that was the purpose of this product. Nope, she said it was for informational and educational purposes.

Ixcela helped me train for my first triathlon, a Half IronMan 70.3, and was critical to my success. I lost 15 pounds and have a better understanding of how to take care of my gut health. Excellent insightful service with great explanations of what do and why to improve gut health. Comprehensive and actionable.

I have been working with the team at Ixcela for more than 2.5 years. I originally contacted Ixcela in an effort to try and understand the relationship of the Gut microbiome and the disease (Hypopathyroidism) I had contracted more than 20 years ago. This disease has caused me significant difficulties. During the previous 20 years I have spent large amounts of money on doctors and therapies to try and improve my symptoms. In the process I have become very aware that the gut microbiome is intimately involved in almost every system of the body.

After contacting Ixcela initially, I took some time to review the technology of the company. Since I am an engineer, I have the skillset necessary to do that effectively. I did some research and found their technology can measure very accurately the levels of metabolites and relate those levels to overall health of the gut. Thats impressive considering how difficult that is in my opinion. The results are presented in an easy to understand format. It is a number (0-100) 100 is the best. I started at 43 (bad)

Over the past few years the amazing staff at Ixcela have helped me to make significant dietary and nutritional changes that have resulted in a substantial improvement in my test scores. In the process they have helped me to become educated as to what works with my body and what does not. Ultimately the improvement in my gut very significantly improved the management of my symptoms. I lost 20 lbs in 50 days, Sleep improved drastically and is consistent, improvement in several labs, etc. Of the many therapies I have trie, this has been the most effective long term help at a very reasonable cost as compared to all the other therapies I have tried. I would recommend Ixcela to everyone whom wants to improve their longterm health and is willing to make changes in their life that benefit their health.

Ixcela has been an incredible resource for me as I’ve taken on the full distance Ironman this year. The at-home blood test is easy and convenient. Even though I compete at the highest level of my sport, my results show that my health needs some work! I was surprised to realize how much life and training stress can impact the gut microbiome. Took the test 3 months ago…no results yet!

I have worked with Ixcela for over 6 months as an amateur triathlete and resident pediatric physician. Not only has my athletic performance improved tremendously, as I’ve optimized various aspects of my diet and wellness routine, but I have been able to optimize my life by reducing stress and prioritizing recovery and sleep. The results of the Ixcela test were so incredibly valuable because they gave me confidence that I am doing some of the right things, and also revealed a few areas I needed to focus on for improvement. More vitamin C for one thing!

I was curious to see how Ixcela could help me reduce stomach issues during running and also help me with my weight loss goals. I went through the Ixcela testing process and it was simple to do at home. I liked that I got to meet with an Ixcela dietitian to review my results since I wasn’t sure what my results meant at first.

The Ixcela dietitian explained everything. My results showed that I needed more protein and also that I also needed fermented foods in my diet to support my gut. We agreed that I should start by eating breakfast—specifically eggs some days and greek yogurt (a fermented food) with berries on other days. I noticed that I’m not as hungry during the day like I used to be. My energy is higher in the morning than it normally would be and my brain is moving at a faster pace.

While it’s too early to see changes for my runner’s gut stuff, I feel like there is less stress in that area too since I know what to do now. I look forward to seeing how things change over the next couple of months.
