I ordered a sibling test from this company last year and due to circumstances beyond my control I was unable to get the sample to them within 90 days as my sister lives in another country. I had to secure another sample from another sister who is also in another country and by the time I was able to do this the 90 days was up. I was unaware and misunderstood that the test I purchased had to be done within 90 days. My understanding was that the sample would be good up to 90 days not that I had 90 days to do the actual test if that makes sense. I called to see what could be done and they advised that I had to purchase a new test. Seeing that no test was actually performed , I have the opinion that they could have at least accommodated me since it was truly beyond my control. So I basically paid them for nothing. I am truly disappointed and will never use their services again.

Thank you for the results that confirm that I am a half-sibling to my other sibs. Thank you for providing this service so that people like me can get to the truth.

This company has been extremely difficult to work with. They dont answer their phone or return calls. They dont like to be e-mailed at their support e-mail address, they instead refer you to their website to start a support ticket. Unfortunately, the support ticket does not offer you the chance to write any support information. It only allows you to tick one of several boxes and to wait. They charge $100 if you do not submit all samples for testing in 90 days. That they charge this is not listed on any of teh forms you complete. It is only listed in the fine print of the T’s&C’s on the very last page. There is a 1 1/2” window with which to read all the T’s&C’s and I missed this. It actually says $75 but they charged us $100. They then made a mistake on the test. We want to know if my wife’s sister is a half sister. They completed a half sibling test that shows they are 99% likely to be half siblings but this gives us no indication if they are actually full siblings. This was useless to us. I was very clear about our needs and now they are charging us another $125 to retest. I would stay away. Horrible customer service and horrible attitude. Out for money, do not care about you or your results on any level.

I am writing to you to thank you for your wonderful service that you provide. The technology and the ease at which we can use it in this day and age is greatly appreciated. The process was easy, convenient stress free and at what I consider to be a minimal cost for the information and service that you provide. I do have to say my experience with this company is not what most of the reviews say; which baffles me.
I had one representative call me the following day after I entered my request to test multiple cousins and one unknown to see who was the closet match; I guess this is too much for the test. Either way, I left multiple calls back to the company with zero return calls. Several months later I finally worked my way through a “new” test request and then I was told I had to email my request, they wouldn’t call back. So I did. Still no responses.

For a company to be this hard to take my money, I would hate to see what would happen if they did take my money and then I had problems.

For this reason, I would not recommend this company. There are many other companies out there that support sibling DNA testing.

I have been looking for my father for most of my adulthood, unfortunately I have come up empty. Recently however I was put in touch with a young man that could potentially be my brother. We both agreed to submit a DNA sample thru Journey Genetic Testing and it turned out to be the worst decision and the biggest waste of money. It has been a month and still no results. Journey Genetic Testing claims to have not received one of the samples so I went ahead and submitted another. Still I have not received any results or information of the receipt of the sample eventhough I tracked it via UPS which stated the package has been delivered. Please Please please do not use this company, they are a complete scam. I plan to tell anyone I can about how awful these people are. No one should be taken advantage of like this. And the sad part is you can never actually speak to anyone on the phone about your cases, it’s really just a mess!
