The test was easy but seemed to be thorough with all the swabs we had to get. The results were delayed one time but within 7 days we had our answer. Turns out my half brother and sister were actually my blood brother and sister so that was amazing and our results were 99.8%!

We grew up knowing the same mother and father, but as my father was passing, information came up that he may not be my biological father. After much soul searching (and web searching!) we decided to use paternityUSA to get an answer.
I spent a lot of time researching these companies as I assume you may be doing now if you’re reading this. It’s overwhelming. I wanted to share my experience, hopefully to help narrow the search for someone else.
PaternityUSA was a great choice. We had our collection kit the next day and it had prepaid a 2 day return mailer in it. We swabbed our mouths, dropped it off with FedEx and in one business day after they got it, we had our answer.
We paid a little more for rush processing, but given the weight of the situation, it was important to get the result as quickly as possible.
The result was emailed to us in the form of a PDF file. It was clear and easy to understand. While I am saddened over the loss of my father, I am grateful to know our years were spent together as biological relatives. I only wish I could tell him to put his mind at ease too. I am sure he knows now though. PaternityUSA, thank you so much for this peace.

The kit arrived promptly and was easy to complete and send back. However, the results were delayed, delayed, delayed. We called and they said the date they provided was wrong because they are not open on Saturday but that we would receive the results that evening. We did not and still have not received the results. We ordered the test 2-14-17 sent it back that same day and it is now 2-28-17. For a company who promises quick results, this is a problem. There is no way to track the results and the office says there are too many to sift through. If I had to do it again, I would choose a more professional company.
