Ancestry DNA Testing Reviews for Easy DNA

We gave this to our son for his 40th birthday and were disappointed with the quality of his personal information. He is too and is going to pay for another ancestral test himself from different site! A pie chart would have been good.

The results could be simpler to understand

I did my test in June 2016. After a couple of months I contacted them and was told to expect the results September 10-26. 2 weeks later, nothing. I contacted them again early October and was told after several emails that there was an unspecified delay. Still waiting November 9 – $650 I can ill afford down the drain.

I appreciate Easy DNA sending me my results as quickly as they did once I contacted them by email about my husband’s demise and the late return of my specimen. The information I received was quite informative and I was pleased to find out my Origins. I am happy to refer Easy to my friends and family and was very pleased with the information that I received.

Right, if you’re looking to understand the ethnicities that define you I would suggest you don’t buy the AncestryByDNA test.

I invested in Ancestry.com at Christmas and it blows AncestryByDNA out of the waster! AncestryByDNA isn’t interactive and is difficult to verify, plus you don’t get access to the database to find your distant relatives and see how they’re dustributed around the world

I was not given the entire report of the Ancestral Origins test as promised on their India website. The European branch (UK) sent a report first that only said that I have 82% European bloodline, 10% sub-Saharan African bloodline and 8% East Asian bloodline. Beyond that, they did not send me the STR profile and the other 10 page report along with the Ancestral Origins map, though I had specifically ordered for it. The problem with their India website was that they did not have the option of paying for the Ancestral Origins test. So, I paid for their matrilineal DNA test under the faith that they would specifically request the European branch to do an Ancestral Origins test since the fees were the same for it. The India branch did request specifically for an Ancestral Origins test to their UK branch but after sending a one page test result, they did not send anything else to me and said that they have stopped providing the Ancestral Origins test from now onward. I have paid an entire US $231 and this is what I get in return.
