I purchased a Single Genetic Profile Test on July 22, 2019. I did not receive my collection kit until July 25; I rushed collection of my DNA and had the kit back in the mail the same day. Upon arrival of my collection kit in Florida the following day, July 26, I had anticipated my results within 3-5 business days. However, I received an email the following Friday, August 2, to hear my collection kit arrived at their laboratory in the United Kingdom. I did not receive my results until the following Monday, August 5. I also purchased a hard copy of my report, and I did not receive a paper copy within 2 weeks of receipt of my results by email; I requested a refund.

I was not informed that my collection kit was being sent to their laboratory in the United Kingdom, as I believed their location in Florida had a laboratory that processed the DNA samples.

I was dissatisfied with the service by AlphaBiolabs, with respect to the time it took for my sample to arrive at their laboratory, as well as, not being able to provide me with a paper copy of my results.

Alpha bio labs are an amazing company who are passionate about giving you the best price of mind in whichever DNA test you Choose. They have brilliant customer service and will go above and beyond for you.

Took a Legal DNA test with Alphabiolabs and choose them as they were able to offer next day results (at an additional fee). Unfortunately the results did not come back the next day as the samples hadn’t arrived. The customer service team were unsure regarding the collection of the samples and only after getting the results and having the tracking sticker attached did I see that they weren’t posted when they should have been. There is also an error on the consent paperwork which I followed up with 3 times via email directly to their customer service manager – none of which have been answered. At present I still don’t know if my test is actually legally binding. Given the work they do they have POOR customer service and lack any form of empathy.

My only gripe was that I couldn’t find anywhere stating that it was working days, we’ve had a very stressful time and were expecting next day results. Because the swabs were received on Friday, we didn’t find out until Monday evening. What a weekend. The chat service ws helpful by the way.

Alphabiolabs recently conducted a dna test for me in difficult circumstances in order to establish paternity.
Everyone I spoke to over the phone from start to finish were thoroughly professional, helpful, knowledgeable and sensitive.

Well, Well, Well. After an epic and momentous journey with Ancestry and Alphabiolabs, as a team we worked together and made the impossible possible.
With only a first name of Mario, finding my Father never seemed plausible.; a needle in a field of haystacks!!
But the power of science had another plan. A first cousin match through Ancestry and then an epic journey that led me to my Father, whose name hadn’t even been what I had thought it was throughout my 47 years of living!!
First there was an Uncleship test that proved inconclusive with Alphabiolabs and a negative paternity result, a shock to us all, as this seemed the only answer based on research and the process of elimination.
However, with the absolute correct findings of Alphabiolabs, we were compelled to dig deeper. Initially we thought perhaps that Ancestry had got it wrong, that perhaps my first cousin was indeed my half sister, and sadly with that conclusion, my Father would have been dead 8 years.
But fate stepped in, and with it the nephew of my Uncle (the negative paternity test candidate) was found. He remembered my Mother, he remembered the nightclub they met in and he even recalled Pink Floyd playing in the background.
He had wondered if my mother had continued the pregnancy throughout his life, and in his words, said, when I appeared on the 30th of June 2018, that it was “like a miracle”.
He even shares an exact birth date and year with my maternal Uncle James, who was my male role model growing up. My Guardian Angel who left this Earth at the tender age of 62.
He is Massimiliano and he is my Father.
As Alphabiolabs results confirmed, “It is 5,149,939,374 times more likely that Massimiliano is the true biological father of Cathy than another unrelated man from the same population”.
Alphabiolabs findings were correct and absolute. The Uncleship test was inconclusive because the man tested was in fact my Great Uncle, and the same man tested for Paternity, again was negative, prompting this incredible chain of events.
What started as a journey to find perhaps the region of Italy I was from, so that I could take my children there this Summer, instead, I came away with a Father, 3 half siblings, 2 nieces and his Wonderful Wife.
Myself and my family will be joining them this summer in my Father’s hometown in Italy for 6 days, a full circle story indeed

How to carry out the test & completing the form was made very simple. Where things went wrong and is most unprofessional and surely in breach of data protection rules was when a person claiming to be the “child” in the test rang the test centre and the password was disclosed to them. Apparently this is acceptable because the “child” in the test is over 18. So beware, check out a companies disclosure rules before using them or you may get your results via a text message from someone who should not have had access to the results.

After sending my DNA test Special Delivery through Royal Mail I was really upset to find that my parcel had been misplaced by Royal Mail. Alpha Biolabs were outstanding with their level of customer service and really helped me through this stressful period where my bank details and DNA were potentially with someone else.

One member of the team in particular named David spend hours with me on the phone over a day and a half to help trace my parcel by checking their cctv footage to see if the postman had been etc. He promised to ring me the following day to let me know if they received my parcel and he stood by his word. He rang me as soon as he walked into the office to say he had them.

Not only did he provide me with this fantastic level of service but he went one step further and asked the DNA department to issue me with same day results which would have normally been an extra £50. He explained the hassle I had with Royal Mail in sending my parcel and as an act of curtosy they provided me with the results the same day.

All I can say is ‘wow’ I am truely speechless at their level of service and would recommend anyone looking for a DNA test to go with Alpha Biolabs!

Confusing instructions asking us to put samples in colour coded envelopes when they were all the same. Im no expert but can samples be contaminated by being next to each other as the envelopes had no moisture proofing added so the outside of the envelopes were wet i sent ours off in food bags to be safe. We added 2 contact details only one received confirmation of the receipt of the samples. Difficult to obtain results also, i had to download adobe reader on my mobile by which point the other party had read it and told me. Does what its supposed to do but not sure id use this company again.

I have used this DNA testing company twice now to find out who my biological father is. I can honestly say it is very fast.. I sent my sample off on Friday with the envelope provided received an email on Tuesday and got results (today) Wednesday. I paid £99 which I found was quite reasonable. The DNA swabs were pretty simple to use and it was all very simply instructed in the DNA kit itself such as signing it etc. I am over the moon and shocked over the results but I have finally found peace in my life and finally have the closure I need at the age of 24.

Thanks to Alphabiolabs for answering my questions so speedily. Although this is obviously a very distressing time for myself and my partner I am very happy with the support they have given us. The other company had been far less helpful and has not responded with the same urgency.

Made an unbearably anxious wait turn to a celebration, I can’t tell you how happy and relieved I was with the result after being so scared. When the email came and I saw that 99.99% result I felt like a massive weight had been lifted off my shoulders. This has changed my outlook on life and I will be forever thankful to Alpha Biolabs for their quick turnaround and helpful advice all the way.

We ordered the kit on Monday. Received and sent back on Tuesday. It was received by Alpha Biolabs on Wednesday (we got an email confirming this) and the results came at around 5:45 Thursday evening. They do say it will be after 4:30pm so don’t check your email all day like I did, as hard as it is! They close at 5:30 but the adviser said they all stay on until everyone has had their results emailed. It gets a bit nerve wracking after 4:30 when you don’t know exactly how long it will be but I’d rather wait and make sure the lab had done all relevant checks.

The only thing I would say is that the envelope to send the kit back has Alpha Biolabs logo on the front, so I decided to go to another post office to send (they all know me in my regular one).

Don’t hesitate to choose this company, I couldn’t have waited any longer for the result as I was tearing my hair out as it was, so I’d definitely go for this one and get it done & out of the way.

The prices of paternity tests seem to vary significantly, and I’m not sure why, but I chose Alpha on the basis that a friend who had been in a similar situation recommended them, and the price was in the ‘medium’ bracket. With something so important I didn’t want to go for the cheapest, but I also didn’t want to be ripped off. Service was polite and supportive through a sensitive process, and I was given access to further resources in case I needed them. Overall I was satisfied and would recommend.

I needed to get a legal paternity test last year and went with Alpha Biolabs after doing some research on this website and elsewhere. They were very helpful through what was obviously a stressful process from an emotional point of view. It was particularly helpful that they were happy to be in contact with my lawyer because I didn’t want anything to get lost in translation. Anyway everything ended up well and I would have written a positive review earlier only I was basking in the relief of getting the results we wanted.

At first I was a little annoyed that I couldn’t get the results confirmed over the phone that I had received via email. But this wasn’t their fault, I couldn’t remember my password. Luckily I was asked some security questions and was able to get more information about my results. When I thought about it at the end of the day I was glad that my results were kept confidential, cos I suppose Id rather not have just anyone calling up finding out about my results. The main plus was I found the staff patient and could explain them to me without being too complex.

Searched a number of other providers as it wasnt the easiest thing to get my head around and not something i wanted to skimp on.

i went fro alpha-biollabs in the end because theyre info seemed the most straight forward and they seemed helpful when i called them to make sure of everything.

They didnt seem pushy which is usually the biggest off put of any company IMO. Would use again or recommend in future.

I was a bit anxious about what was involved with dna testing but was assured by the informative staff that the test only involved rubbing the inside of my mouth with a large cotton bud-like device. They didnt have to take blood that I didnt know was possible to get dna. The process when the bloke arrived to take the spit sample was exactly how they described it – a doddle – and was over and done with pretty quickly. Its not time consuming and all the arrangements were made quickly too.

Just writtin to say that Alpha Biolabs did me proudly with my paternity test. I wasnt sure about a lot of the process when i first wanted to have my son hear with me from Ghana after finishing my studys, but their team couldnt have made things any easier. I thought I would take this opportunity to share my gratitude, as I was so ecstatic with the level of dedication their customer service displayed during and after my case. I opted to use their services in particular because of the promise to provide next day results with their paternity test kit. I suspected the kit to be an easier way of getting a test results quicker and I was not disappointed. However after receiving the results I must admit I was unsure as to what a few elements of everything I was emailed meant exactly. I called customer service, who seemed adamant to get me the answers I needed. It wasn’t that complicated in the end but I am very grateful for the help at every stage in my case with them translating anything I did not understand into every day English. With it being a laboratory, a little scientific language is understandable I guess, but it was refreshing that this does not mean that they have to baffle their customers in an attempt to seem impressive or scare off our insistent questioning!

The woman I spoke to was very friendly and took a good deal of time to explain everything and reassure me before I parted with any money. Last year, I had marriage problems and split from my husband for a few months. I had a short relationship with someone from work and thankfully reunited with my husband. Little did I know that I would find myself in the position of needing a DNA Paternity test for my youngest child. I was mortified! My husband has been supportive but it has been a horrible time for us as a family.

We agreed to have a DNA test but the internet seemed like a minefield and it was recommended to me that I look at the moj list of accreditated DNA testers.

Alpha Biolabs customer services seemed the most professional and I was pleasantly suprised how simple the DNA kit and instruction were. I thought we might have to go to our GP and was therefore relieved when I discovered we could collect our samples at home. I was also amazed by the speed! This was a simple easy to use site and I ordered a DNA testing kit which was delivered next day. The instructions were straightforward and I had my results the following day after I had sent them off, I could not believe how quick and accurate they were and would recommend them to anyone.

I don’t normally write reviews, but as they went out of their way to help me I had to tell other people. I needed a paternity test for my daughter so I talked to one of their staff after visiting their website. I almost bought a legal DNA test, but their friendly customer services staff pointed my to the right test for my needs – it must have saved me £200. It’s really refreshing to find a company who puts it’s customers needs ahead of profits.

I found this test online and bought it straight away because I didn’t want to wait. All the forms and swabs in the pack you get are fine and taking the DNA sample didn’t take long, it was completely painless.

When I researched which paternity test to buy I was glad Alpha Biolabs are based in the UK, so I knew that any DNA provided was not going to be shipped abroad for testing.
I had a few queries around the differences between their ‘Peace of Mind’ Paternity Test and their Legal Paternity Test and I used the live chat function on their site to get the answers that I needed.
I paid a different price when ordering the ‘Peace of Mind’ test (one father, one child) compared to the price advertised on the site with the difference being around £20. They do have a price-match promise but I didn’t challenge their pricing after I ordered.
The pack arrived the next day and the instructions were clear. My password protected results were e-mailed to me within a day of the samples being delivered. Good service, I’d recommend them.
