The week Mum died just before my 61st birthday she told me my father wasn’t my father. Other comments she made to my brother and sister lead us want to find out the truth. After much researching we all agreed I should call DNA Worldwide.

I’m an only child of 33 years of age. It’s always just been myself and my mum, I have never known my father. Sadly my mum passed away in 2009 which left me on my own with just myself and my husband and children.
We just had to get on with our lives again after mum died and tried to rebuild it the best way possible.

In 2013 my friend from Ireland contacted me to say a lady had contacted her on a social media website because she was searching for her potential sister and believed it was me.

My friend gave me a email address for this lady and I sent her a message to say I believe you have been looking for me, she went on to say that she believed her father was my potential father but I didn’t see how this is possible as the name I was told to be my father was not the name of her father, she told me her father and my mother had had a relationship just around the time I was conceived and that there was a possibility her dad could be mine.

We have spent the last three months building a relationship and before we could go any further we spent €375 euros to do a DNA test with another company.

We did the DNA and had to wait 3/4 days for the results, they came back 76.7% which is an inconclusive result which meant yet again we were in limbo and stuck asking unanswered questions.

Which meant that I could once again go on and believe what my mum had told me because my mum had given me a name and I started to doubt everything I had ever been told my whole life, and as my mum is no longer around she could not verify any details I had been told so it was a very one sided story until the team from DNA Worldwide helped me and I could finally get back to living my life.
