Baby Gender Testing Reviews for Easy DNA

Test was wrong and stated boy when baby delivered was a girl. Test was carried out as per instructions with no contamination. Charged twice and took more than 2 months for refund. Would not recommend!

I used the test at 14+ weeks, got a good sample and no man was around when I took the test. I had not had a recent pregnancy or miscarriage. The results came back showing boy. After 3 girls I was over the moon with the result, so so happy. I bought a few bits of clothes in excitement. Luckily I didn’t tell anyone just to be on the safe side because at my 20 weeks scan the other day the scanner told me it’s a fourth girl.

I’m devastated and feel that thinking it was a boy to have it taken away from me has made the disappointment much much worse. I contacted easydna and they didn’t contact me back, after another very heated email to them they responded giving me a load of rubbish excuses.

Inwish I’d never used the service, I’ve cried every day since I found out. Please don’t trust this company they mess with peoples feelings and it’s not worth the money or stress. I wish I could give them no stars but the rating won’t let me!!!!

At 12 weeks I did gender test. Results were back “it is a girl”. After two boys we were so excited. On ultrasound 16 week we were told “it Is a boy”. Accuracy 99% Is a fake. It was Not to early it was done exactly with instructions. Please avoid i feel like I lost my baby. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!! I had the Gender blood test at 9weeks+4 days which told me I was having a baby girl. After 2 boys I was over the moon and for 9 weeks started preparing for my new arrival. Until a private scan and an NHS scan both told me I was in fact having a boy. I was suitably annoyed with Easy DNA and after emailing the manager ‘Stephen’ he offered the only possible explanation was that at 9 weeks I did not yet have enough of the Y chromosome in my blood to detect that it was a male fetus at that point in y pregnancy. I did accept this as a possible reason as I do appreciate these tests are relying on biology therefore decided to pay for a re-test at 21 weeks only to have the same Girl result! At this point I had seriously begun to worry that there maybe something wrong as my baby seemed male on screen but with no male DNA and it has been a very worrying time for my family (in the mean time another ultrasound had confirmed boy). When emailing Stephen again he has tried to fob me off with numerous reasons eg at one point he said the sample could have been contaminated and I correctly stated that the only way this would be the case was that if I had had a incorrect boy result which had been contaminated with male DNA, not the other way around. The excuse that the test was taken too early is also invalid due to my having the re test at 21 weeks! He then said that the only possible explanation was that I could be within the 1% of the population who just sheds the babies DNA extremely quickly! I thought this is very unlikely however maybe possible therefore I decided to have a gender blood test with another company who uses a completely different laboratory called Nimble Diagnostics. I was fully expecting the results should say girl as even if the baby is a boy I trusted Easy DNA in their explanation, but nope results came back as Y chromosome clearly detected – baby BOY!! i WILL BE INTERESTED TO SEE HOW EASY DNA EXPLAIN THIS… AS THE ONLY EXPLANATION TO ME IS THE COMPANY IS UNRELIABLE & I COULD HAVE SAVED A LOT OF HEARTACHE AND WORRY BY AVOIDING THEM COMPLETELY!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Love the certificate that came with the results.

We got a false result. At 28 weeks pregnant the test came back saying we were having a girl, we went on to have a boy. An incorrect result the other way around could be attributed to the hime nature of the test which they site as their reason for the 2% error margin – but this way around it can only be a lab error. Unless you are doing the test just for fun and don’t care if it’s accurate – AVOID

Hi we got gender test done by easy dna we have to wait 8 day result came out u having a baby boy . Ive got scan done from two different place the both showing baby girl which the easy dna are full of sh*t . And i dont think the send blood two America . Its a scam thanks please please dont waste your money thanks

I did the test perfectly as this is my job so I knew how to deal with these kind of tests and I minimized the man error as possible I could, paid £80 for the express result and £6.5 for the express postage, they promised 4 working days to get the express result however they couldn’t provide me the results even after 5 working days. I hope I can get refund for the £86.50 that I paid for express results. Very disappointed…

I ordered an easydna test and the test results indicated that me and my wife would have a girl. Today, during an ultrasound exam, we found that we are going to have a boy – and there was no doubt about that, given the clear view of a penis + scrotum. I’ve contacted the company, but they refused to even admit that the test was a failure – they literally just copied a section of their website regarding the test error probabilities.

We collected blood for the test at 11 weeks of pregnancy, in a completely clean environment, following the instructions thoroughly – we even shipped the samples through an overnight courier service.

The cost of the prenatal gender test is what took me a long time to decided to go ahead or not with this test, even though compared to others tests available this was the most reasonable priced, it is still an expensive cost… especially when comparing to going for an 3D/4D ultrasound which you can do for around $80 for a quick gender peek. The main reason that persuaded me was knowing that it was so accurate, more than an ultrasound as that will depend on the position of baby and the ultrasound tech, they can get it wrong. With this test as long as you follow strictly the steps you should have a result that you can trust. For me this was worth the money. Easy and fast. From the time I ordered my kit to the time I got my results. And knowing that if I had any problems or questions I am able to reach someone that can help. Would not hesitate to recommend this service.
